BY CAR
About 1 ½ hours door to door depending on traffic from NYC/Brooklyn. Beware lots of traffic on Friday night!
Take the Long Island Expressway to Exit 65 (about 1 hour and 15 minutes)
Take the service road off the Long Island Expressway
Right at the first light at the top of the hill (Horseblock Road)
Go about one mile on Horseback Road (or about two lights)
(Look for the Bellport sign hidden in the bushes on your right before the light (hard to see)
Right onto Station Road/Bellport Road for two to three miles (Go past Sunrise Highway and then past Montauk Highway over the railroad ties) into the quaint town of Bellport
Make a left onto South Country Road/Main Street (Liquor store on left hand corner)
Go two long blocks through town
Make a right onto South Brewster Lane towards the Bay.
Go about two blocks and just before the road veers right stop and make a left onto a small private lane.
Advance only 5 feet onto the lane and make a hard left into the driveway of 29 South Brewster Lane. (Kindly do not go all the way down to the water!).
You will see a shingle garage with turquoise doors and on the right a big gray shingle style house on the top of the hill overlooking the Great South Bay. You have arrived!
N.B. Coming from Park Slope, Jai Imbrey (bride’s mom/local badass) usually takes:
Eastern Parkway to the Jackie Robinson.
The Jackie Robinson to Grand Central (towards Eastern Long Island)
The Grand Central to the Northern State Exit 37A
The Northern State to the Long Island Expressway Exit 65
Alternatively you can take the BQE (Bronx, Queens Expressway) to the LIE (Long Island Expressway)
By Train
About 2 hours door to door – be careful, there are only a few trains on Saturday. Check the schedule here!
Take the Long Island Railroad (about 2 hours door to door). You can leave from Penn Station or Atlantic Avenue, Brooklyn. You usually have to switch trains at either Jamaica or Babylon.
The closest station to our Bellport house is Bellport Station (5 minutes by car from the house) but there are no trains on Saturday afternoon! The trains to Bellport Station are rare.
Best Station: There are more trains to Patchogue which is 10 minutes by taxi to the house.
Wedding Parking
About 5 minutes away by foot in a lot behind the United Methodist Church, 185 South Country Road, Bellport.
The extra entrance to the lot is at the corner of South Country & North Brewster Lane.
